What precautions will we be taking?

PTB is following State  requirements for Phase 2, updated 01/02/2021

We are allowed to have 7 students and 1 instructor in each class.  Sadly, no spectators are allowed except for pre-ballet classes.

Masks are required on the dance floor per WA State mandate.  However, dancers are allowed to remove their masks to drink water and to take a "breathing break" during/after vigorous exercise.

There will be time between classes to allow previous students to leave and all touched surfaces (barres, doorknobs, bathroom surfaces, etc.) be sanitized with a bleach solution before the next students come in. Parents, please wait in the parking lot or outside the door for your kid to come out (unless you have to come in to pay for classes).

Prior to class the instructor will take the temperature of each student with a non-contact thermometer and send anyone home who registers over 100.4 degrees F. As usual, students encouraged to stay home if they are ill.

Students are asked to social distance while in the building. During this time, the teacher will also have to keep distance, which excludes “hands on” instruction till restrictions are lifted. The teachers will do their best to demonstrate and verbalize instruction instead.

All windows and doors may remain open throughout the class to ensure fresh air flow. Warm up attire that is not usually permitted such as sweatpants and sweatshirts are allowed on cooler days.

Upon entering and prior to exiting the building please wash your hands with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds and dry them completely.

Please avoid touching your face. If you have to cough or sneeze please cover your mouth and nose with a tissue and then toss it in the garbage and wash your hands. Use the crook of your elbow if you can’t get to a tissue in time.
